Notes from CSW-JAL
1. Picots. Picots instructions are to ch3 & sc in first ch. I have always had trouble with leaning picots. And found this alternate method to make better looking picots.

2. The 2 side panels stitch count varies because the starting side always has one more dc than the ending side. Every other row will have matching dc stitch counts. While the alternate row will be off.
3. I have an old version of the pattern & have noticed a few errors. These have been fixed on the newest version of the pattern. The designer was very quick to email out a new one.
4. Error on Written Instructions Row 6. (Diagram is correct.) I have e-mailed the designer to edit this. After completing the DC's with the picots, it says to "sc1 on ch5 space". There is no ch5 space from Row 5. This part of the written instructions needs to be deleted.
5. Pattern should be rewritten to say "Repeat Rows 5 - 7 seventeen more times". When you are ready to work the body, you will have a total of 19 of the center shell repeats.
6. In my old version of the pattern, Bernadette has an option for crocheting along the top of the shawl. I am following her instructions since I have 4g left of my yarn. This adds sc & picots along the top.
