Sunburst Granny Squares Meets Continuous Join-As-You-Go
Joining As You Go really is the only way to make a Granny Square Afghan. (Who wants to sew all those squares together?)
Patterns Used
Sunburst Granny Squares
Continuous Join-As-You-Go Method
Yarn
Baby Bee Sweet Delight in Soft Licorice
Lion Brand Mandala in Phoenix (3 Skeins or 1770 yards)
3 Skeins of the Lion Brand Mandala yarn made 80 squares with about 4 feet of yarn left over.
Hook
G Hook (4.0mm)
Pattern Notes
Completing Rounds 1-4 of the Sunburst Granny Squares & then I will use the Continuous Join-As-You-Go method for putting them together.
Each square takes about 5.75 g of yarn. Each skein should make about 26 squares. I'm planning on making this blanket 8 squares wide by 10 squares long.
