Supreme Image
Pattern: Supreme Image
Yarn: 382 yards of Aunt Lydia's Classic Crochet (Size 10)
Hook: 1.9mm
Pattern Assessment:
Written instructions only. Pattern does not contain any charts or pictures demonstrating stitches. Advanced pattern. Round 4 can be extremely confusing. Gorgeous finished doily with amazing texture that is not captured in the photographs.
Valuable Notes:
Round 9: 50 picots
Round 17: 90 picots
Round 19: 80 picots
Round 21: 70 picots
Round 23: 60 picots
Round 25: 50 picots
Round 27: 20 picots
This pattern contains 420 picots.
Round 30: 160 popcorns.
Round 31: If I made this again I would do a (2sc, slip st, *ch 2*, dc) in top of last dc made. I would also do a (ch2, slip st, *ch 2*, dc) in top of last dc made. The ch3 on the left side of the motif is longer than the right side. Reducing it to a ch2 would probably fix this.
Measurements:
After Round 9: 4 3/4" diameter
After Round 31: 16 1/2 diameter pre-blocking.
I am going to be putting this in an embroidery hoop, so my only options are 18" or 23". This was going to block easily at 18 1/2" so I stretched it as much as I could to get 21 1/2". Hoping it will look nice in the 23" embroidery hoop.
Weighs 86 grams.
